A Must Have for All HDSLR Shooters

Posted in All, Gear Reviews

With all the big expensive equipment out there, it is easy to forget about the small stuff. After buying a camera, lens, viewfinder, handheld rig, tripod, CF cards, and audio equipment, most of us are out of money. But there is something that you will need.

Cases are often over looked because people see them as just something that you can throw your gear in. That is not a good idea. I see cases as an investment and the best way to keep your gear intact on shoots and when traveling. For me, nothing compares to Pelican. They can’t be matched and I love my 1520 case. Unfortunately, they did not offer what I wanted in a card case.

I wanted a card case that could hold both my CF and SD cards (for my Zoom H4n). After searching online I found Gepe. The reviews looked good and the price, $20 seemed good. If you think this is too expensive, think about how much you spend on your cards.

This is an amazing card case and I recommend it to everyone. I got the extreme watertight model and after testing it, I can confirm that it is watertight. What I like most about this case is that along with being able to fit a wide range of cards, I am able to fit my CF cards on top of my SD cards. This is a huge selling point and think they should advertise that. The case is a tank and anyone that spends all that money on cards, should spend $20 on keeping those cards intact.
