MetaMedia Shoot With a Surprise!

Bruce and Dave Prepping the MicroDolly

On Monday I had a shoot with the company I work for, MetaMedia, where I was an associate producer and secondary directory of photography. Bruce, from Visual Edge was the primary DP shooting on the 5D while I was on the 7D. Various L series, Nikon primes, and even my Sigma 30mm was used for the shoot. In the middle of the shoot I got a big surprise…

Walking back into my office there was a big box in my office. My IndiSystem indiRAILSpro DSLR sm™ came in a day early! Luckily we had a set change and while assembling the teleprompter I was able to check out the new rig.

First impressions of the the IndiSystem: Sturdy, customizable, easy to use, folds up to a very small size, and I really enjoyed that it came with a quick release plate. Before I bought the rig I caught Tim on the phone and he was more than willing to help and get me what I wanted, when I wanted. Overall it is a very nice system for only $370 (they offer a smaller version for $299) and I have no complaints. This is perfect for everyone that is under a budget.
