Shooting at Musket Ridge is something my team and I really look forward to. We know their staff and they know us. It allows us to begin filming as soon as we walk in the door without wasting anytime. What was also great about this wedding was the new gear I had with me .
Monica and Kris were so awesome to work with and are not only a great couple, but all around good people. Andy and I had a blast working with them and that is evident in the highlight video. Their friends and family were so inviting and made us feel extremely comfortable the entire day. Big thanks to everyone at the wedding that made us feel like a part of the family.
I depend heavily on DSLRs for their image quality and size. We put the Canon 7D and Canon 5D on our Benro Monopod’s to add stability to our shots with out slowing us down. It is a great combination and looking forward to bringing these on every shoot.
Even though the image quality is important, audio is something that can’t be overlooked. I have 4 different microphones and 2 recorders to make sure I capture everything. For this wedding I had the new Zoom H6. The H6 is a 6 channel recorder that will become a big part of my audio configuration. I will save all the details for a future blog but here’s a few features that I love:
- 4 XLR Inputs
- Audio is adjusted by dials (not buttons like the H4)
- Battery lasts a lot longer
- Each channel can have it’s own settings
- Two mono channels can turn into a stereo channel
These are just some of the features. Working on a blog know that will dive into the Zoom H6 and the functions.
