A lot of couples want to know what happens after the initial email or phone call. There’s even a question on what happens after the down payment or what happens after we shoot the wedding. Below is our process that will hopefully answer those questions.

Initial Contact

First off, who are you talking to when you contact Ruscher Visuals? Good question! You’ll be talking to me, Rob Ruscher, the owner/operator of Ruscher Visuals. You can find out more about me here.

When I first receive your email or call, there’s a few things we go over:

  • Your wedding date
  • The Location
  • A little about you and your fiancee
  • What you are looking for in your wedding video
  • Packaging and pricing options

Once I get the main details of your wedding, I will write a proposal for you to look over and agree on.

Contract and Down Payment

After we get all the  details on your big day and either choose a package or create a customized one, I will then send you a contract with all of that information. You will then need to email or mail a signed copy along with a check for 50% of the agreed budget. You can choose to pay all up front, pay the remaining on the wedding day (most popular) or pay when the final DVDs are ready.

What Happens Before the Wedding?

After the contract is signed and I received the down payment, you can check off one more thing on your to do list!
Here’s What Happens at Ruscher Visuals From Here:

  • I will meet with Andy and we begin our preproduction
  • We make a schedule of the day
  • Begin contacting the Dee Jay and reception location
  • We get all the information we need

This ensures that you don’t have to worry about us at all on your big day. I am available to talk and will respond to all emails within 48 hours (most likely the same day). You are also able to make any changes to the wedding package and we will add the extra costs on the final payment.

The Wedding Day

This is where we get most of the questions. The most common being “How long do you shoot for?” We don’t limit ourselves to a block of time. Depending on the chosen package will determine how long we shoot. We have done this long enough to know each wedding is different and there is no reason to set a block of time for it.

Our style is cinematic documentary. What this means is we like to stay out of the way and unnoticed but we will use our tools and knowledge to give you a cinematic look. We also use are skills to give the video a story. We don’t just sit in the back of the room with a locked off camera. We will stage certain things and even have you pose like you would for a photograph when needed.

We will NEVER interrupt any ceremonial event nor get in the way of any other vendors. We are here for you with the mission to provide a video that will last you a lifetime.

After the Big Day

After your big day we jump right into it. We begin by backing up the footage on multiple hard drives and organize our project file. We work on editing every video stated in your contract and build you a custom DVD to put all the videos in. This process takes 3-8 weeks depending on your specific package. Once completed, we ship you 3 DVDs in hard cases. We make sure you are 100% satisfied and happy with your final product and hope the videos will bring back the magic of your wedding day.
