I was asked to create a video to show the characteristics and abilities of the Vista prime set from Tokina Cinema. This video was played at a screening before NAB 2017 as well as at the Tokina Cinema booth at NAB 2017. Director Brett Wagner and myself created the concept while Brett took over the writing and all dialogue scenes. I had 2 days with the lenses before we started filming and 2.5 days of photography.

We shot on the 35, 50 and 85 with the Red Epic Dragon (thanks to Sean Montgomery for the camera rental and Jeff Garton for the PL mount). The MoVI was paired with the 35mm for all walking shots as well as the smooth driving shots.

Escape received some amazing feedback at the screening by the creators and designers of the lens on showcasing everything these lenses can do in a variety of environments. It was also praised by a few members of the ASC technical board.
